A Sheffield Botanical Garden Wedding and Chimney House Wedding Reception for Emma and Richard
Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens are stunning all year around, but you can’t beat them on a beautifully warm and sunny day. The flowers are in bloom and the trees are full to bursting with foliage.
As always I arrived early, and had a wander around the grounds, it wasn’t long before Richard arrived along with his parents who were busy putting name tags on chairs and double checking everything was ready for when the rest of the guests arrived.
Hiding away in the cafe I found Emma and her dad, determined not to be seen despite them arriving super early (I think you have beaten the early bride record Emma!) and it was nice to be able to spend a little time with them before making our way into the grounds for the lovely intimate ceremony.
Catching up with friends and family afterwards it was soon time for the guests to catch the coach, which gave us the perfect opportunity to get a few relaxed shots walking around the gardens. I love having lots of layers and depth in photos where I can, and sometimes that means standing in bushes, much to Emma and Richard’s amusement haha! We didn’t manage to get close to any squirrels, though I’m sure had there not been nut allergies involved we could have temped them closer!
It was soon time to leave to the Chimney House too – a fabulous venue next to Kelham Island Museum in a formerly industrial part of the city. There was so much detail to photograph it was lovely, and had a very relaxed atmosphere…not to mention some delicious pies and peas!
Bellies full it was time for the speeches – Emma’s Dad presented Richard with his very own Honourary Yorkshireman certificate, Emma enjoyed the company of Monkey whilst Richard’s speech was fantastic, very witty and had everyone laughing.
