Here are my favourite wedding venues Barnsley

Barnsley, although it’s a town and not a big city, has some lovely wedding venues.Whether it’s a beautiful church or manor house steeped in history, a stunning garden or a farm in the hills, there’s something for everyone.

Here are a few of my favourites…

Smallshaw Farm Cottages

Design your own countryside wedding in the rolling hills surrounded by amazing views. Stay at the venue in their lovely 17th century converted barn cottages.

Wentworth Castle Gardens

Romantic follies and beautiful gardens, plus an impressive Victorian Conservatory as well as a long barn to choose from. for your wedding ceremony.

Bagden Hall

Whilst not technically in Barnsley, it’s so close that I couldn’t not include it. Set on 40 acres, this hotel is set on a Victorian-era country estate with its own lake. The main function room where the ceremony and receptions take place is a later addition.

Cannon Hall

Cannon Hall is a country house museum in Cawthorne. It is council owned and set in a lovely country park which is very popular with the public.
