Having seen the forecast (heavy rain all day) I arrived at the Norfolk Arms on Esther and Dave’s wedding day complete with as many brollies as I could lay my hands on. I needn’t have worried, because it soon cleared up and the sun even tried to peek out!
Esther had been incredibly busy making bunting, but all the effort was worth it as the marquee looked fab with it hanging. Hendersons Relish was on each table ready for the pies later in the day, and there was a relaxed feel as the guests enjoyed a relaxing drink in the pub whilst waiting for the ceremony.
Upstairs, the girls were getting ready, and Esther was nice and relaxed. I remember thinking, I hope Dave’s socks fit well as Esther was about to knock his socks off in her beautiful dress.
The happy couple reunited at the end of the aisle, their gaze was so intense with love I’m glad I wasn’t the only one choking back a tear or two. Having signed their certificate they triumphantly headed back down the aisle and outside for some photos.
Their cake was beautiful, and matched the flowers perfectly. Welcomed in to the marquee to rapturous applause it was time for the speeches. I loved that Dave had 2 best men, both with their own unique style, and Esther’s “Laugh Sign” was a great hit.
I left with the laughter and love ringing in my ears 🙂
