Did you know that peacocks have fluffy bums? Neither did I until the Whitley Hall resident peacock was making a spectacle of himself for John and Kate’s wedding.
It’s the simple things that make me smile, like being able to take your shoes off outside in April, friends, family and laughing so hard you can’t breathe. John and Kate’s beautiful sun-filled day had all of these in abundance.
They’re practically neighbours of mine living on the estate opposite in Millhouse Green, it’s so lovely when I get to photograph really local couples!
Safely delivered by Bob from Laura’s Vintage Wedding Cars in the gorgeous Austin Mayfair 1926 (my personal favourite of theirs!) Kate was walked down the aisle by her two boys to a nervously waiting John.
After a lovely ceremony the new Mr and Mrs were whisked away to enjoy some time together in the waiting Austin, while their friends and family got the afternoon started with the drinks reception ready for their return.
Photos followed before the wedding breakfast, with gifts of cleaning products for the boys and laughter aplenty. With full bellies they rolled out into the gardens to relax and catch up before the evening would begin and they’d need to get their dancing shoes on!
