Set in the centre of beautiful, historic Buxton are the Buxton Pavillion Gardens. Open to the public, who make the most of feeding the ducks, resting on the benches and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. I love the grounds and the splendour of the building.
In the grounds is the bandstand, which is licensed for weddings. It’s small but perfectly formed, but do bear in mind that there are steps to climb, and spectators will struggle to see from outside the bandstand as it’s raised up.
The conservatory is also licensed for weddings, and the “Octagon,” which has recently undergone massive restoration work can hold upto 1200 people! It’s a Grade ll listed building and one of the largest eight sided rooms in Europe.
All this before I even mention the miniature railway!!! Woot!
There are many events on throughout the year so it may be busy, and of course walking through the grounds you’ll be on show to the public, so prepare yourself for the ooohs and aaahs 🙂
