Chris and Jeanette are two of those people who you’d describe as, “salt of the earth,” – a pair of diamonds. My friends, who I met through the wedding industry not long after I first started up, invited me down to Oxford with them for the weekend to share and capture their vow renewal at Blenheim Palace. Of course I was honoured!
Blenheim is very close to the hearts of Jeanette and Chris, who had been together for 30 years now, and they have many happy memories of their time spent there, so it seemed only fitting for the vow renewal to take place there too.
I’d met with the ceremony co-ordinator the day before so knew where I could and couldn’t go, and how long we had the golf buggy (!!) for.
I loved seeing the interaction between Chris and Jeanette out of their everyday working lives, and how they shared this special day with daughters Sarah and Kathryn and her hubby James (whose wedding I photographed too).
To say it was hot would be an understatement, and we had planned on including the dogs more in the day’s celebration but it was just too hot for them, so after a wonderful ceremony we all hopped on the golf buggy and made our way to the different areas of the palace grounds for photos.
An amazing day in a fantastic, special location, but I’ve always said, it doesn’t matter where you are, it’s who you are there with that make it.
