Hazel Gap Barn is a really unusual venue, and when Leonie and Chris booked their wedding there it was still in its building phase. Luckily they booked in plenty of time and it was standing tall for the big day.
Their October wedding seemed a long time since I first met them, and Henderson – their Alsatian had certainly grown since then!
As always I was super early so I had chance to have a good look around, and was really impressed with the barn, and the wonderful smell of hops being carefully strung by Pretty Little Extras wafted through the buildings.
When we first met, Chris and Leonie told me they were keen to capture the atmosphere inside the barn. I loved the candlelight on the table for the ceremony. I always avoid flash where I can so as not to disturb or distract, and the darkness at the front of the barn really pushed my gear, which is why I shoot with the best equipment I can. They put their trust in me so I have to have trust in my gear!
Thankfully we dodged the showers, enjoyed the rainbows and even had chance for toasting marshmallows before dancing the night away.
