It comes to something when a plane sighting on the main flight path to Manchester airport becomes a rare and unusual thing. I can only imagine how much less polution there is with passenger planes being grounded.
This morning I had a different avian visitor – a female pheasant who was obviously feeling brave enough to leave the fields and come into the garden. She was somewhat perplexed by how to access the bird feeders, so she just picked up the crumbs instead.
I’ve lost count of how many robins are making use of the crumb catcher too – this one caught with its mouth full.
