Hannah and Daniel’s Wentworth Castle Wedding Day

Hannah and Daniel tied the knot at their local church – St Nicholas in Upper Cumberworth last Saturday before heading over to Wentworth Castle for their reception.

Too excited to stay home waiting any longer (I packed my kit ready the night before) I got to Hannah’s parents’ house early to catch the morning preparations.

Hair and makeup were busy getting the girls ready, and Hannah’s sister’s little girl, Summer, couldn’t decide whether it was time to get into bed or not! haha!

Gifts were exchanged along with tears, and it wasn’t long before we were heading to church.

St Nicholas was special to them as Hannah’s sister had been married there, as had her parents, with pictures and memorials to relatives it was the perfect location for them to exchange their vows, surrounded by 100 friends and family – it was a packed out church! Add two videographers into the mix and it was a tight squeeze!

After a lovely ceremony our newlyweds headed outside to be greeted by Rocky, Dan’s Nannan’s dog who they’d adopted when she was sadly lost. Pulling on his lead to get to them they were reunited for hugs and kisses before walking through a tunnel of confetti and heading out in the Daimler from Laura’s Vintage Limousines to Wentworth Castle, but not before a plane flew over the church and someone told me it was one of Dan’s friends coming to get an aerial photo, so I grabbed a shot as quickly as I could, and sure enough – later on Facebook there was the aerial shot!!!

Guests made their way into the beautiful Victorian Conservatory while Hannah and Daniel went to check out the marquee, which they’d been busy decorating with a touch a shabby chic.

After some milling and catching up with friends and family they decided it was time to go get some photos, so we hopped on a golf cart along with Ken the videographer and whizzed out into the gardens. Thankfully we managed to grab a few shots before the heavens finally decided to open and we all retreated back to the conservatory to dry off.

Lots more milling and then it was time for the meal and speeches – lots of laughter and fun, before the chaos of the group shots and the fun on the dancefloor.

Currently on an amazing-sounding honeymoon, Hannah and Daniel didn’t let the rain dampen their special day, and I can’t wait to see their photos from their honeymoon!
