Woodside Weddings Festival Wedding Fair
Underneath the summer sun set in a splendid field at Grange Moor Wakefield, with the Emley Moor Mast overlooking proceedings, last weekend Woodside Weddings played host to a wedding festival organised by the lovely Stevie Jay.
Driving up to the field I was welcomed by colourful flags flying in the wind, and Serentipi’s unmistakable tipis reaching into the blue sky.
Jill and Antoine’s wedding in Sheffield the day before had been epic, and quite frankly I felt knackered haha! But the relaxed atmosphere, the sunshine and amazing people soon made me forget how much my feet hurt.
There were so many people to meet and chat to, a band to listen to and even wood oven cooked pizzas to eat, I didn’t get chance to meet everyone but those I did just made my day.
Serentipi had been working really hard to get their 3 tipi set up sorted and I had a stand next to Inner City Weddings, who I’d actually worked with the day before on the wedding I shot, so it was lovely to catch up with them, and boy do they know how to put on an inner city wedding!
Woo b Woo had also been working really hard, this time she’d been experimenting with bright festival colours as well as creating an epic floral ring which was hanging beautifully from the roof of one of the tipis.
Now we really were in for a treat with a difference at this fair – Owls!!! Two beautiful owls!!! Amy Jo Lawrence of The Flying Squadron had brought them along and we even got our very own flying display! So special!
Once we’d had some amazing pizza cooked by the owners of the Woodside Weddings venue, amazing Ice Cream was provided by “A Taste of Italy,” with their stop me and try one tricycle! I can confirm the mint chocolate chip was lovely.
I left with a belly full and a burnt nose, what a lovely way to spend a Sunday!
