One Sampson wedding wasn’t enough, so David’s Dad booked me for his and Zoe’s wedding at Bakewell Registry Office.
Having already had a wonderful day with Elspeth and David, I knew today was going to be another wonderful celebration.
I’d met up with Zoe and John to talk about their plans when they booked me. It was before I was heading off to South Africa later in the year, so we had lots to talk about with Zoe being from South Africa herself. John showed me some of the amazing photos he’d taken of the wildlife on his visits out there and even offered to lend me his expensive binoculars! What a wonderful gesture! Unfortunately I already had 23kg of gear I had to take and was pushing the weight limit for the hand luggage!
Their wedding day dawned a beautiful sunny one, and having had a walk around Bakewell I met them at the registry office. They were both beaming and it was so lovely to see them again.
With the guests packed in tight, Zoe and John squeezed their way in to exchange their vows.
After the ceremony we all headed back to their home in Bradwell, where they’d set up a couple of marquees in their beautiful garden, and a catering company had been organised to provide food and drinks for the guests.
It was a wonderfully relaxed gathering, just like friends and family had popped round for a social. A perfect way to spend your wedding day 🙂
